Project overview

Where we started

Max-Link is a B2B wholesale business, and the way it takes orders didn't fit any off-the-shelf platform. Forcing the business into generic software was creating more work, not less.

We were asked to build custom software around how the business actually operates, its own order flow, its own customers, its own way of working, rather than the other way round.

The brief was scope clarity from the outset: a platform built to the business, with no surprises on what was and wasn't included.

Brand identity

A precise wholesale identity built on warm paper neutrals and near-black ink, with a single trade-orange accent reserved for action and status.

Fonts, colour tokens and the Max-Link wordmark are taken directly from the Max-Link production codebase.

What we did

The work, in order

01

Mapped how orders actually happen

Before writing any software, we mapped the real order flow, who orders, how, and what needs to happen next, rather than assuming a generic wholesale pattern.

02

A platform built around that flow

The platform follows the business's own process rather than asking the business to adapt to the software.

03

Scope agreed up front

What was in and out of scope was agreed before build started, so delivery matched what was promised.

The result

Max-Link now runs a platform built around how the business actually takes orders, the lead proof point for our software track, and the reason we don't ask clients to force their business into someone else's template.
