Project overview

Where we started

Black Lion Caravan is a small touring site in the grounds of The Black Lion, with five named hardstanding pitches and direct access to the surrounding North Yorkshire landscape.

Guests need confidence before they book: what the pitches look like, which facilities are on site, what is nearby and whether their dates are available.

The site was designed as a focused companion to the pub experience, with its own identity and a much clearer booking journey.

Brand identity

A visual world of its own.

A quieter companion to the pub identity, using the production site's limestone neutrals, moss greens and soft sage to make the five-pitch experience calm and practical.

Fonts, colour tokens and the Black Lion roundel are taken directly from the caravan site's production codebase.

What we did

The work, in order

01

Led with the place

The opening uses the actual gardens and grounds so visitors understand the character and scale of the site immediately.

02

Made every pitch visible

Five named pitch cards show the real hardstandings rather than asking guests to imagine them from a single generic image.

03

Separated facts from inspiration

Facilities, nearby places and pitch information each have a clear section, making the page useful as well as atmospheric.

04

Brought availability into the page

The booking route sits inside the experience, reducing the jump between discovering the site and checking a date.

The result

Black Lion Caravan now has a compact, credible site that shows the touring experience honestly and takes guests straight from the landscape and pitches to practical information and availability.
